2025 Winter Basketball

Come join us for another season of basketball. It is a fun and exciting program that introduces everyone to the game of basketball. The goal of this league is to develop players while learning the basics, which include, passing, shooting, and teamwork. The focus will be on building character, good sportsmanship, skill development, and having FUN!

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Ages: 4-15

Registration: October 20 – November 25

Late Registration: November 26 -30 (a $15 late registration fee will be applied.)

Prices: $60/Members $70/Non-Members

AGE GROUPS 4-5 & 6-7

Practices and Games: These age groups will hold practice/games at the same time and will be held during a weeknight starting at 5:30pm.

Please be mindful that the schedule is subject to change based on participation numbers! Out priority is the safety of our participants, as well as the opportunity to enjoy the game of basketball.

AGE GROUPS 8-9, 10-12, & 13-15

Practices: These age groups will practice one night during the week for one hour.

Games: The age groups are currently programmed to hold games on Saturdays at the Cherokee County Family YMCA. Season will include 6 games.

Tournament: These age groups will have a single elimination tournament directly following regular season games.

SKILL EVALUATIONS

Ages 4-5: No Skill Evaluations will be held for ages 4-5. Teams will be generated at random.

Ages 6-7 & 8-9: Skill Evaluations will be held on Monday, 12/1/25 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Cherokee County Family YMCA.

Ages 10-12 &13-15: Skill Evaluations will be held on Tuesday, 12/2/25 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Cherokee County Family YMCA.

Skill Evaluations are REQUIRED for a child to be drafted. Any child that does not attend Skill Evaluations will be placed into a blind draft. 

REFUND POLICY

A full refund may be requested up until your child’s first scheduled practice. Once practices have begun, no refunds will be issued.
